Status of Submitted Abstracts
Responses have been made to all authors to allow adequate time for preparation. If you have not received your response, please email the conference administrator immediately.

All presenting authors must confirm their participation by registering. The deadline for author registration is June 15, 2008.

Guidelines for Oral Presentations There will be five oral sessions, arranged by topic, and led by a host/discussant. Selected papers must be presented by the author or co-author. Each oral presentation will be 15 minutes in duration and the discussant will allow a few minutes for questions. If a format other than PowerPoint is desired for visual accompaniment, please contact the conference administrator prior to the conference to confirm technical details.

Call for Papers
The abstract submission deadline was May 1, 2008. Review has been conducted by the scientific committee of the Sensometric Society.
Successfully submitted abstracts have been acknowledged with an electronic receipt including an abstract reference number, which should be quoted in all correspondence. Allow at least 2 hours for your receipt to be returned to you.

For revisions or queries regarding abstracts already submitted: If or you wish to make any essential revisions to an abstract already submitted, you may amend. If you do not receive acknowledgement for your abstract submission or for other inquiries, please email the conference administrator, quoting your reference number where applicable.

Refereeing
All abstracts were refereed and a criterion of rejection was lack of originality. A condition of submission is that, if accepted, the paper must be presented at Sensometrics 2008 by one of the authors.

Proceedings
will be published in a special issue of Food Quality and Preference.

All papers and posters presented at the meeting are eligible to appear in the Special Issue of Food Quality and Preference that will appear in 2009.

The journal's submission, review and decision process is managed entirely online using the Elsevier Editorial System (EES).
Authors will be required to submit their manuscripts via the journal's electronic submission system by the end of the meeting (July 23, 2008).
