Compusense® five is a flexible and robust software solution that can be run on many different platforms and hardware configurations.
Server
The software is installed on one machine (e.g. a server or shared drive). Analyst stations and data collection stations operate from the main installation.
Analyst Station
This computer allows the user to design, present and analyze tests. The number of analyst stations per license is established when you purchase the software.
Data Collection Station
This computer allows panelists to respond to questionnaires. The number and type of data collection stations is set during purchase of the license. Compusense five panelist workstation and Compusense® commuter station are examples of data collection stations.

Compusense five runs on many types of local area networks including:

Server Information
The installation of Compusense five, and additional components, requires approximately 300 MB of free server space. Additional space is required for data files and is directly related to user requirements. The amount of space required depends entirely on the types and number of tests you run. However, we recommend allocating at least 1.5 GB of free space when using multimedia files.
Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 are recommended for networks of all sizes. Client access licenses may need to be purchased. Please check with the manufacturer of your server's operating system to determine limitations for concurrent connections. Many clients have successfully deployed Compusense to geographically distributed users with Citrix.
Data Collection Station and Analyst Workstation System Requirements
Please note: the system requirements to run Compusense five relate directly to Microsoft® requirements for running the different operating systems. Microsoft Office 2003 or 2007 is recommended on Compusense five analyst workstations for greater functionality.

Notes
- Requirements reflect minimum and improved requirements for operating systems published on the Microsoft website. Exceeding requirements is recommended for improved performance. System requirements should be verified on the Microsoft website.
- Microsoft Office 2003 or 2007 is recommended on Compusense five analyst workstations for greater functionality. We suggest that an analyst PC running Office have at least a 1GHz processor, 256 MB RAM, and 1024x768 display. Some features in Microsoft Office not used by Compusense five might require higher specifications. System requirements of the analyst workstation must be sufficient to run the version of Office selected. Microsoft's website indicates hard drive space required for each version of Microsoft Office. System requirements should be verified on the Microsoft website.
- Available hard drive space suggested is for Compusense five analyst or data collection station installations. Additional space may be required to run presentations or for the proper operation of the computer.
- A network card is not necessarily required to run commuter Station.
- For Microsoft Vista Home Basic, the system must have support for DirectX 9 graphics and 32 MB of graphics memory. For Microsoft Home Premium/Business/Ultimate, the system must have support for DirectX graphics with WDDM Driver, 128 MB of graphics memory (minimum), Pixel Shader 2.0 in hardware, and 32 bits per pixel.
