Compusense five. Enjoy superior data collection
Feature: Questionnaire
Branching/Skip Patterns
This allows your respondents to be guided through a series of questions, depending on response to key questions. Questions may be skipped, according to your design, based on respondent's input.

Multi-Media Capabilities
Sound and video can be incorporated directly into your presentation. You can gather data related to video images or you can use video images to provide further instruction to your panelists.
Compusense® five uses Windows Media Player.

Graphic Image Presentation
Graphic images can be placed in any text field to enhance the appearance of your screens. For example, you can insert your company logo on the Welcome screen or perhaps you may wish to present a cartoon at the end of the test for panelist motivation.
Sample-related graphic images can be inserted into your questionnaire randomly, according to your experimental plan. Great for concept testing.

Time Delay
Flexible time delay allows you to insert variable length pauses in the question sequence. Signals can be sent to the analyst workstation at any time as a prompt to assist in timely sample preparation.
Video, graphics, or a countdown timer may be presented to Panelists as time delays.

Operation in Any Language
The language database allows for translation of all text seen by panelists. Several languages are distributed with the software.

Question Design Capabilities
  • Line Scale
You can control the thickness and sensitivity of the line. The line scale responses can be resolved to one unit in 1000.
  • Category/Hedonic
The hedonic question can be presented in Horizontal or Vertical mode. Option to adjust scale values to start or end at zero.
  • Keypad/Magnitude Estimation
Panelists can respond using a real keyboard or a selection of on-screen keypads with the aid of a mouse or light pen. You can set maximum values of the response, as well as negative responses.
  • Multiple Choice and Standard Descriptor
This is ideal for gathering demographic information and attitude and usage information from your Panelists.
  • Ranking
Rank your samples based on any attribute. Or, rank concepts.
    Ties are allowed.

  • Comment
Allow for gathering of responses to open-ended questions.
  • Triangle Test
Allows for presentation of single or multiple triangle tests in one session.

  • Duo-Trio Test
Very easy to design and use.
  • Paired Comparison
In addtion to standard paired comparison tests, data can be gathered for responses to graphic images for conjoint analysis.
  • Time Intensity
Question type that measures the rate, duration and intensity of sensory attributes as a function of time.
  • Labeled Magnitude Scale
A vertical line scale used to rate a sensory dimension within the context of the strongest sensation imaginable. To learn more about the Labeled Magnitude Scale, take a look at this interactive demo (Requires Flash 4 to view).
  • R-index test
The R-index test, an approach to difference testing, provides a measure of discrimination with relatively few trials.
